American History in a Box Level IWritten for Kindergarteners and 1st graders, this box includes sixteen books, art supplies, and an activity book based on the U.S. Common Core Standards and Virginia Standards of Learning.

Children will learn about maps and globes, citizenship and symbols, holidays, and famous Americans such as George Washington, Betsy Ross, Eleanor Roosevelt, George Washington Carver, and Martin Luther King, Jr.

Activities in the workbook include coloring pages, charts, matching, illustrating, project suggestions, letter writing, a maze using cardinal directions, map drawing, and vocabulary exercises.

We also include a page titled “What your child should know” at the beginning of each section and another titled “Questions to ask your child” at the end of each section. Use these to generate family discussion and debate.

This advanced level box is for children who have already completed the Kindergarten/First grade box. It includes books and activities that explore the concept of past, present, and future (including timelines), geography and map skills, goods and services, needs vs. wants, and citizenship.

The box includes fiction, non-fiction, games, and an activity book based on the U.S. standards.

Price: $399 plus shipping costs.

Some books and games may be substituted depending on availability. Unfortunately, some books go out of print or are temporarily unavailable. Due to our small size, we don’t keep a large inventory. We will make sure your substitutions are fun to read, historically relevant, and age appropriate!
