Written for grades 7, 8, and 9, this box includes fiction, nonfiction, a standards-based activity book, and a final project and assessment based on the U.S. Common Core Standards and Virginia Standards of Learning.
Children will learn about American History through fiction, non-fiction, and writing exercises.
Activities in the workbook focus on the written response and comparing, contrasting, analyzing, and evaluating learning.
We also include a page titled “What your child should know” at the beginning of each section and another titled “Questions to ask your child” at the end of each section. Use these to generate family discussion and debate.
