American History in a Box Level I

Designed for students in 7th, 8th, and 9th Grade, American History in a Box: Level G offers a rigorous, literature-based study of American history through carefully selected fiction, nonfiction, and structured writing activities.

This level is designed to help students move beyond learning historical facts and into deeper historical thinking—analyzing events, evaluating sources, and developing clear, evidence-based written responses.

The program includes fiction and nonfiction texts, a standards-based activity workbook, and a final project and assessment aligned with Common Core recommendations and Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL).

Students will explore American history through reading and writing, building understanding of key events, themes, and developments while strengthening academic writing skills.
